The Music Programme
The Music Programme is over 30 years old and many of the musicians, music teachers and church musicians in the Swedish-speaking region of Finland have started their career at EFÖ. The programme is a collaboration with the Swedish Vocational Institute in Jakobstad.
The Music Programme offers top-of-the-line education at different levels, from beginners’ to institute level. There’s room for both eager amateurs and future professional musicians. This is also an opportunity for those that never have understood notes and music theory but want to start from the beginning and develop at their own pace.
As a result of our cooperation with the music institutes of the region we can offer skilled teachers in most soloistic subjects. You can also pass an examination in soloistic and certain theoretical subjects at for example the Kuula Institute.
The teaching consists of both theoretical and practical musical subjects. Furthermore some practice lessons are part of the curriculum. If you feel like it, you can choose certain subjects from other programmes, for example, computer science, languages, practical and theological subjects.
